First Baptist Church

Dayton, TN

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,

who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:3-4

The Care Center

Every life has a story to tell. For forty years, The Care Center has been helping write stories of hope, healing and new beginnings in our community.

Every day, women and men walk through our doors carrying their own unique stories – stories of uncertainty, fear and sometimes despair. Through the compassionate medical care and support services we provide, these stories often transform into testimonies of courage, strength and joy. Our work, guided by Jesus Christ has been instrumental in empowering countless parents to make life-affirming decisions regarding pregnancy, upholding the value of abstinence before marriage and offering hope and healing after abortion.

While we celebrate the changes in Tennessee’s abortion landscape, our mission remains as crucial as ever. True transformation in our community requires more than legal changes – it demands a strong support system that makes choosing life not just possible, but sustainable.

This is My Story

March 13, 2025

The Care Center annual fundraising dinner serves as more than just a fundraiser – it’s a gathering of community partners who share our vision of protecting and celebrating the sanctity of human life. This event provides vital funding that sustains our ministry throughout the year, enabling us to continue offering free services to those in need. As economic challenges persist and the cost of basic necessities continues to rise, the demand for our services has only increased.

We invite you to be a part of our story – a story that has been forty years in the making and continues to unfold through the lives touched by this ministry.

  • Church Motto

    First......that all may know Jesus.

This is the motto of First Baptist Dayton, TN

    taken from 1 Timothy 2:3-5.

"For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,"

  • From the Pastor:

FBC Dayton Family, the Lord’s Day is special! The first day of the week is unique from the other six.

We know that Jesus rose from the grave on the first day of the week. John 20:1 “Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came early to the tomb, while it was still dark, and saw the stone already taken away from the tomb.”

We are reminded in Acts 20:7 “On the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread…”

I found a survey of what people do instead of worshipping God on Sundays; Eat out, Attend Little League games, Watch sports, Go camping, Go to the lake, Shop at farmers market, Stay in bed, Go to a coffee shop, Shopping, and Work.

For the church, we are commanded to worship together; Hebrews 10:25 “not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”

What day is this speaking of? The coming of the Lord! I believe that day is close! Jesus is worthy of our praise! Let us be faithful to Jesus, after all He has been faithful to us!

You may be thinking, “attendance is low so pastor is preaching”, but the opposite is true. Attendance has been good and we are growing, but now is not the time to slow down!

    We press on!

    Pastor Bob
